FOUNDER

Cecil McMorris
Cecil McMorris, American Board Certified and Texas Licensed Prosthetist, was married and had 2 children and 9 Grandkids and 11 great grandkids. Cecil was a bilateral below knee amputee from the Korean conflict. He was educated at UCLA in Los Angeles, California and Northwestern University of Chicago. He was in Prosthetics from 1932 to 2002. Cecil was born in 1931 and died in 2009.

OWNERS

Sheila McMorris Phillips
Partner, CFO, and Office Manager of Lubbock Artificial Limb & Brace. She is the daughter of Cecil the founder of the company. Sheila earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She also earned an Office Manager degree from American commercial College in Lubbock.
Kent Phillips
American Board Certified and Texas Licensed Prosthetist, earned his Associate of Arts degree from south Plains College in Levelland and his Prosthetic Certificate from Northwestern University in Chicago.
Sheila and Kent founded Abilene Artificial Limb in Abilene Texas in 1981. They still maintain both offices. They moved back to Lubbock in February of 2002 after Cecil’s retirement. Sheila and Kent married in 1973 and have 3 sons and 7 grandkids.
Jason Phillips
Partner, and CEO of Lubbock Artificial Limb & Brace. American Board Certified and Texas Licensed Prosthetist and Cecil’s oldest grandson, earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and his Prosthetic Certificate from Cal State University in Carson City, California. He has been employed at Lubbock Artificial Limb and Brace since 1996. He is married and has 2 children. Jason became a partner in January 2014 upon the retirement of Teresa.

STAFF

Teresa McMorris Strattan
Board Certified and Texas licensed Prosthetist and Daughter of Cecil, earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and her Prosthetic Certificate from UCLA in Los Angeles, California. She has been employed since 1989 and retired in 2014.
Keith Strattan
American Board Certified and Texas Licensed Prosthetist earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and his Prosthetist Certificate from Cal State University in Carson City, California. He has been employed since 1994.
Teresa and Keith married in 1993 and have 6 children and 4 grandkids.
Lubbock Artificial Limb & Brace takes great pride in its well-trained staff. We have a true understanding of our clients' needs. The staff not only fits amputees, but they also are amputees. Our staff includes Justin Phillips, Certified Prosthetic Assistant and Cecil’s grandson.  Eddie Salas, Licensed Technician; Denise Ochoa, Billing Specialist; Paula Irby, Insurance Specialist; Tina Odom, Receptionist.

HISTORY

Lubbock Artificial Limb was founded in 1962 from a small shop on 34th Street.  Lubbock Artificial Limb and Brace has had steady growth due to our constant attention to patient satisfaction.  The company moved to its present location at 4421 19th St, where it now serves the needs of patients throughout the southwest.
Lubbock Artificial Limb and Brace is an American Board Certified and Texas Licensed Facility approved for the Veterans Administration, Medicare, Medicaid, and most Insurances.

SERVICES

Friendly, high standards, timely service, and a TRUE understanding of patients are the hallmarks of Lubbock Artificial Limb and Brace.  We offer the latest technology advancements in prosthetics.
In Prosthetics,  we offer the most advanced innovative systems available today, including the Myoelectric Arm & Elbow, the Silicone suction Socket, the Vac system, the Microprocessor Knee, including the Genium Knee, the Proprio Foot, symes, below and above the knee, hip disarticulation , hemi-pelvectomy, below and above the elbow and shoulder disarticulation.
We offer counseling to new as well as old amputees, in the hospital, at home or wherever the need arises.  We are small enough for personal quality care for each patient, but large enough to serve every need.  All patients are fitted by Certified and Licensed Prosthetist.
